Kyle Brown
PastorKyle is a native of Sioux Falls and a 20-year veteran of the Air Force. Kyle’s journey led him to be part of two church plants during his military service in Texas and Alaska. In Alaska, he served as an associate pastor for a decade before returning to South Dakota. Kyle is married to Bethany and is a proud father of four wonderful children. In his free time, he enjoys fishing, hunting, and tending to his garden.
Kara Hansen
Worship DirectorKara spent her early childhood years in Sioux Falls before moving to Brandon her freshman year of high school (Go Lynx!). There she met her husband, Aaron. Together they have three precocious and energetic children. Kara has served as a worship leader in churches and Bible study groups for several years (she can’t remember how many because…kids). Her passion is to help people feel God’s presence through music. She loves reading, gardening, and making all things sourdough in her spare time.
Emily Thorson
Children’s Ministry DirectorEmily is originally from New Mexico, and after moved to Colorado, then Minnesota for her undergraduate studies in psychology. She wound up in chilly South Dakota eight years ago. She has participated in children’s ministries in every church she has attended, and has thoroughly enjoyed watching youth grow in their understanding of God and their relationships with Christ. Emily shares her life with her wonderful husband, Jake, and their two children, Ester and Elias. Her other passions include reading, exercise, and spending time outdoors with the family.
Tina Woestman
Adult Ministries DirectorTina grew up in southwest Minnesota and met her husband Tony while attending Iowa State University for her undergraduate degree. Since then, she has moved cross-country four times in support of her husband’s Army career, which brought them to Brandon a couple of years ago. Through this experience, she has attended churches of varied sizes and in different stages and has witnessed God making great things happen time and time again. She has a passion for helping others unpack Biblical truths that help address life’s confusing and hard challenges as well as building a community that supports one another’s needs. Tina is a proud mother of two boys, and she spends her free time with family, attending sporting events, rock climbing, and attempting to garden.
