FAQs
What denomination is REchurch?
REchurch has made a conscious choice to be non-denominational. In a world filled with distractions, denominational divides and governance issues often divert churches from their true mission: to love God and love people. By embracing independence, we aim to worship, operate, and engage in bold Kingdom initiatives freely.
How does REchurch do baptisms?
We understand that baptism practices vary among different traditions—whether immersion or sprinkling, infant or adult. Our pastoral team is available to discuss baptism with you, and please know that we fully respect your baptism preferences.
How does REchurch perform communion?
We practice open communion. You’re welcome to participate regardless of church membership. The only requirement is that you’re a follower of Jesus, acknowledging Him as your Lord and Savior. Children are free to receive communion if their parents have ensured that they understand the symbolism and significance of communion.
What is REchurch’s stance on marriage and sexuality?
We affirm the incredible and distinct creation of men and women by God, designed to complement each other. Christian marriage, in our belief, is a covenant between one man and one woman, and we regard sex as a sacred gift from God to be enjoyed within the bounds of marriage.
Where does REchurch stand on human life issues?
We hold that every life is valuable to God. From conception to natural death, we cherish and respect all human life, echoing God’s own reverence for it.
Does REchurch allow women in ministry?
While acknowledging the unique differences between men and women, we affirm the extraordinary roles that women have played throughout biblical history, including leadership positions within churches and as the first messengers of Jesus’ resurrection. For these reasons, we embrace and empower women in all leadership roles at rechurch.
